5th International Construction Management Day Galway - News - MLM

On the 10th March, Michael Wadood, President of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and Director at MLM Ireland, a company based in Dublin undertaking the role of “Assigned Certifier”, offered a presentation at the 5th annual conference which was held at Galway – Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) on “Influencing good accessible design within the built environment”.

The conference was opened by Minister of State Paudie Coffey, TD Department of Environment, Communities and Local Government. In his opening speech the Minister mentioned that the Government had 112 measures for reforming and revitalising the housing and construction sector and to undertake this the Government will need to work openly with all stakeholders. The Minister stated that the Government had ensured that the public finances were stabilising and the Minister’s department had been offered €3.8m to ensure committed investment for the delivery of 35,000 social housing units over the next 6 years.
